In the wake of tragedy, we find unity

Houston is suffering some major losses. People that have lost their homes, their lives, pets left behind or lost…and just this week in Georgia, over a hundred dogs found abused, chained and starved in the woods of Polk County. There are countless sad stories within each of these tragedies that we could talk about as well as so many things happening around the globe. But in the wake of these tragedies, we find unity.

So many people have come together to rescue not only domestic animals but wild animals caught in the aftermath of the hurricane. So many heroes stepping up, saving lives, collecting supplies, transporting supplies. Here in Georgia, donations pouring in, people transporting supplies to help these poor dogs that were left to fend for themselves in the woods of Polk County.

We at HUHA salute you all. In times like these, when you question where is the hope, so many of you have extinguished the doubt. It truly warms our heart to see so many people that care, going above and beyond to make a horrible situation a little bit better. Thank you volunteers, thank you donors, thank you transporters, thank you rescuers! Thank you to the Polk County Police dept! You are all heroes.
