Thank you Michelle from Palmetto (with a special story)!

What a great Thanksgiving here at HUHA.  This donation has a special story!

Since we were in the “vicinity” of Palmetto, GA for Thanksgiving, we set up a donation drop-off to BullyWag, Inc, post dinner.  As we follow the narrow road, checking mailboxes for the exact address, we pull around a bend to find a gated driveway with a BIG red bone on it.  I think we are here!

We were escorted up the long drive by 5 or 6 or more dogs.  2 Pyrenees were the welcome team that trotted right next to the car up the long drive.  Our second welcome team was a Beagle that had some things on his mind….and needed to vocalize those thoughts!  Our 3rd greeting team was a number of dogs;  Michelle never gave an exact number but it is safe to say “a ton of dogs” would be accurate.

As we unload, she starts to tell me that the timing is perfect for the crate we delivered (plus many items of food, toys, harnesses, etc.). I was able to catch that they took in an injured Pit Bull last night and the crate was in immediate need…. or something, the Beagle still had things on his mind and I didn’t hear the full story.  YAY for timing.

Now she starts filling our car UP!  She donated 5 auto-watering systems.  She said she wanted to pay it forward, as PetCo donated to BullyWag, Inc., however her dogs saw these as nothing more than toys.  She wants to help other rescues.

This made for a pretty awesome Thanksgiving.  Here’s hoping your Thanksgiving had some special stories to remember.
